Sung to: "Wheels on the bus"
The cow in barn goes moo, moo, moo, Moo, moo, moo. Moo, moo, moo, (repeat) All around the farm. The pig in the pen goes oink, oink, oink,........... The hens in the coop go cluck.......... The lambs on the hill go baa... The ducks on the pond go quack... Sung to: "London Bridge" I like baby animals, Animals, animals. I like baby animals; I'll name some for you. Kittens, puppies, chicks and foals, Chicks and foals, chicks and foals. Kittens, puppies, chicks and foals, I can name some more. Goslings, ducklings, lambs and calves, Lambs and calves, lambs and calves. Goslings, ducklings, lambs and calves, I like baby animals. Down on Grandpa's farm there is a little brown dog. This dog sounds a lot like this: Arff! Arff! This dog sounds a lot like this: Arff! Arff! We're on our way; we're on our way, on our way to Grandpa's farm. We're on our way; we're on our way, on our way to Grandpa's farm. (Sing about other animals) Sung to: "Five Little Ducks Went Out To Play" Five little pigs rolled in the mud - Squishy, squashy, felt so good. The farmer took one piggy out. "Oink, Oink, oink," the pig did shout! Continue with four, three, etc. No little pigs rolled in the mud. They all looked so clean and good. The farmer turned his back and then, Those pigs rolled in the mud again. Said the first little chicken with a strange little squirm, "I wish I could find A fat little worm." Said the second little chicken, with an odd little shrug, "I wish I could find A fat little bug." Said the third little chicken' With a sharp little squeal, "I wish I could find Some nice Yellow corn meal." Said the fourth little chicken with a sigh of grief, "I wish I could find A little green leaf." Said the fifth little chicken, With a faint little moan, "I wish I could find A wee gravel stone." "Now see here, said the mother, From the green garden patch, "If you want any breakfast, Just come her and scratch!" Five eggs and five eggs Are underneath a hen. Five eggs and five eggs, And that makes ten. The hen keeps the eggs warm for three long weeks. Snap go the shells with tiny little beaks. Crack, crack the shells go. The chicks, every one, Fluff out their feathers In the warm spring sun. (Tune of Polly Wolly Doodle) Oh, a turkey mom and a turkey tom Go gobble, gobble, gobble all day, When the moon goes down And the sun comes around, They gobble, gobble, gobble all the day. Chorus: Arm in arm, on the farm, As they strut their merry way, Oh a turkey mom, and a turkey tom Go gobble, gobble, gobble all the day. Ah, they love to be with their family And gobble, gobble, gobble all the day, And they say hello to the folks they know And gobble, gobble, gobble all the day. Six little ducks that I once knew, Fat ones, skinny ones, fair ones too But the one little duck with the feathers on his back He led the other with a quack quack quack Quack quack quack Quack quack quack He led the others with a quack quack quack Down to the river they would go Wibble wobble wibble wobble to and fro But the one little duck with the feathers on his back He led the other with a quack quack quack Quack quack quack Quack quack quack He led the others with a quack quack quack All the little ducklings, Line up in a row. Quack, quack, quack, (clap three times) And away they go. They follow their mother, (put hands behind like a tail) Waddling to and fro. (waddle) Quack, quack, quack (clap three times) And away they go. Sung to: "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" Take me out to the barnyard Take me out there right now Show me the cows, pigs and horses too. I hear an oink and a neigh and a moo There are chickens laying their eggs If they don't lay, it's a shame Oh, it's one, two, three eggs today, And I'm glad I came. Sung to: "Down By The Station" Over in the barnyard Early in the morning, See the yellow chickens Standing in a row. See the busy farmer Giving them breakfast. Cheep, cheep, cheep, cheep. Off they go. Substitute other farm animals. Sung to: "Daisy, Daisy" Tractors, tractors, tractors help farmers work. They pull plows that break up the clumps of dirt. The farmer can work much faster Because he has a tractor. There's lots to do the whole year through. Tractors help farmers do the work. Sung to: "I'm a little Teapot" I'm a little piggy Short and stout Here are my ears Here is my snout When I see the Farmer in my pen, I oink, oink, oink and wiggle my tail. (Gallop around) Galloping, galloping, galloping, How fast my pony can go, When he's tired we'll come home, Slow, slow, slow... I had a little rooster by the old barn gate And that little rooster was my playmate And that little rooster went cock-a-doodle-do Dee-doodley-doodley-doodley-do (substitute other animals) Here is a pig fat and round. He uses his snout to dig up the ground. Here is a turkey, and a rooster, too. He crows with a "Cock-a-doodle-doo!" Here is a cow who gives us milk. Her nose is cold and soft as silk. Here is a sheep, "Baa-baa" she goes. She gives us the wool to make our clothes. Here is a peeping baby duck. Here is a hen that says, "Cluck, cluck!" The farmer sows his seeds, the farmer sows his seeds, Hi-ho, the derry-o, the farmer sows his seeds. The wind begins to blow... The rain begins to fall... The sun begins to shine... The seeds begin to grow... The plants grow big and tall... The farmer cuts his corn... He puts it in his barns... And now the harvest is in... This is the meadow where every day Many farm animals come to play. Here is the food that the farmer brings. Hay and oats, and other good things. Here is the great big watering trough. They take a big drink and then scamper off. Here are the shears that shear the sheep. Here is the wool that the farmer will keep. Here is the barn where they all unite To rest themselves and sleep all night One dog Two cats Three goats Four bats Five hens Six cows Seven geese Eight sows Nine sheep Ten lambs And hidden away where nobody sees Are one hundred and fifty bees! I'm a little chick, (crouch down inside your egg) Ready to hatch, Pecking at my shell, (Pecking motion) Scratch, scratch, scratch! When I crack it open, Out I'll creep, (move warily out of shell) Fluff my feathers, Cheep! Cheep! Cheep! |
