About KidSparkz ...

I believe that young children learn best when, in an atmosphere of safety and trust, they are encouraged to explore materials and ideas, and they understand that what they do is important, and has an effect on others.  Through active involvement with their environment, they add pieces of information to what they already know, thereby generating new understandings of the world around them.  As we provide an enriched, stimulating environment, children are offered the opportunity to learn and develop the skills, attitudes, and knowledge necessary to becoming independent, productive individuals.  You will find many things to help you create this ideal environment on this site.    
I have been working, playing and living with young children for over 40 years, as a Kindergarten teacher, a preschool teacher, a childcare director and consultant, a curriculum designer and as a mom, and, delightfully, a grandmom.   I hold a Certificate in Early Elementary (Primary) Education from Sydney Australia, and a Degree in Early Childhood Education from Seattle WA.

I am eager to join with other early childhood professionals, childcare givers, homeschooling parents and ALL of you lucky enough to spend some of your time with children to share my experience, knowledge and contacts, and also to hear about yours.   I offer you honesty, integrity and an established reputation.  Welcome to my site!  Please look around, make yourself at home, and write to me if you have any comments or suggestions.
