6 creative quick and easy process art activities for a PUMPKIN theme

  • Paint with 2 shades of orange tempera using sponges or yarn strings on a large cut out paper pumpkin shape.
  • Paint a mini pumpkin with any colors at all. Add glitter or googly eyes if you want.
  • Put a blob of yellow paint on a laminate table. Add a few drops of red food coloring. After finger painting for a while press a pumpkin shaped piece of paper on top of the paint to make a print.
  • Paint the center of a white paper plate with thick orange tempera. The outside ring of the plate can be painted brown for the crust of the pumpkin pie.  Sprinkle cinnamon over the orange paint while it is still wet.
  • Decorate a mini pumpkin or a medium paper pumpkin shape with colorful office stickers (round, donut shaped, rectangles etc). Use a larger pumpkin for a group activity.
  • Drip orange food coloring mixed with a little water on a round coffee filter with a plastic eye dropper. When dry, glue on a brown paper stem and green pumpkin leaf.
