Sung to: "Did You Ever See a Lassie?"
Once I had a pumpkin, a pumpkin, a pumpkin,
Oh, once I had a pumpkin, with no face at all.
With no eyes and no nose, and no mouth and no teeth.
Once I had a pumpkin with no face at all.
So I made a jack-o-lantern, a jack-o-lantern, a jack-o-lantern,
So I made a jack-o-lantern, with a big funny face.
With big eyes and a big nose, and a big mouth with big teeth.
So I made a jack-o-lantern with a big funny face.

Halloween is almost here
And I can hardly wait.
Halloween is almost here
And I can hardly wait.
When it’s time to trick-or-treat,
We’ll get lots of things to eat,
Halloween is almost here
And I can  hardly wait.

Fly, fly, fly little bats,
Fly, fly, fly little bats,
Fly, fly, fly little bats,
Halloween is here!
Crawl, crawl, crawl little spiders,
Crawl, crawl, crawl little spiders,
Crawl, crawl, crawl little spiders,
Halloween is here!
Stomp, stomp, stomp little monsters,
Stomp, stomp, stomp little monsters,
Stomp, stomp, stomp little monsters,
Halloween is here!
Creep, creep, creep little cats,
Creep, creep, creep little cats,
Creep, creep, creep little cats,
Halloween is here!
Dance, dance, dance little skeletons,
Dance, dance, dance little skeletons,
Dance, dance, dance little skeletons,
Halloween is here!
Float, float, float little ghosts,
Float, float, float little ghosts,
Float, float, float little ghosts,
Halloween is here!

Five little pumpkins (One hand up)
sitting on a gate.
The first one said (Point to thumb)
"My, it's getting late."
The second one said, (Pointer finger)
"There's  witches (or magic)  in the air"
The third one said, (Middle finger)
"But we don’t care"
The forth one said, (Ring finger)
"We’ll run and run and run"
The fifth one said, (Little finger)
"It's just Halloween fun."
"So whooooo" went the wind
And out went the light (Clap hands)
And the five little pumpkins rolled out of site.
(Roll arms)

Sung to: "Jolly Old St. Nick "
Jack-O-Lanterns all lit up
Sitting in a row.
Just what makes them smile so much,
No one seems to know.
I have never heard them speak,
When they start to gleam
All they do is sit and stare -
And smile right back at me.

(Tune:Oscar Meyer Song)
Oh I wish I was an orange Jack-O-Lantern,
That is what I really want to be,
For if I was an orange Jack-O-Lantern,
Everyone would laugh and smile at me!

Pumpkin, pumpkin
Sitting on a wall
Pumpkin, pumpkin
Tip and fall
Pumpkin, pumpkin
Rolling down the street
Pumpkin, pumpkin
Trick or Treat!

I made a Jack-o-Lantern for Halloween night
He has 3 crooked teeth but he won't bite
He has 2 round eyes but cannot see -
He's a jolly Jack-o-lantern, as happy as can be!

You put your scary face in
You put your scary face out
You put your scary face in
And you shake it all about
You say "trick or treat"
And you turn yourself around
that's what it's all about

 I am Jack o’ Happy,
I am Jack o’ Sad.
Now you see me sleepy,
Now you see me mad!
Here I am in pieces small,
But in a pie I am  best of all!

White ghost, white ghost, what do you see?
I see a black bat looking at me.
Black bat, black bat, what do you see?
I see a green skeleton looking at me.
I see a brown owl looking at me.
Brown  owl, brown owl, what do you see?
I see a red mask looking at me.
Red mask, red mask, what do you see?
I see a black cat looking at me.
Black cat, black cat, what do you see?
I see a jack-o-lantern looking at me!
Happy Halloween!

Sung to: She'll be Coming Round the Mountain
It’s October and it’s time to have some fun. Yee-ha!
It’s October and it’s time to have some fun. Yee-ha!
Pickin’ apples up so high
For a fresh-baked apple pie.
It’s October and it’s time to have some fun. Yee-ha!

Oh, it’s time to head out to the pumpkin patch. Yee-ha!
Yes, it’s time to head out to the pumpkin patch. Yee-ha!
To the patch to choose a pumpkin,
Dressed up like a country bumpkin.
Oh, it’s time to head out to the pumpkin patch. Yee-ha!

We will all go trick-or-treatin’ Halloween. Yee-ha!
We will all go trick-or-treatin’ Halloween. Yee-ha!
Saying “Boos!” to those we meet,
Getting lots of things to eat.
We will all go trick-or-treatin’ Halloween, Yee-ha!

If you're a monster and you know it, wave your arms.
If you're a monster and you know it, wave your arms.
If you're a monster and you know it,
then your arms will surely show it.
If you're a monster and you know it, wave your arms.
(Children can suggest other verses show your claws, gnash your teeth, stomp your feet.)

Monster, monster, turn around.
Monster, monster, touch the ground.
Monster, monster, reach up high.
Monster, monster, squint your eyes.
Monster, monster, show your teeth.
Monster, monster, stamp your feet.

Monster, monster, under the bed,
You should go somewhere else instead!
(Shake finger)
Go, Monster, go!
(Stamp feet slowly)
Go, Monster, go!
(Stamp feet faster)
Go, Monster, go Monster, go, go, GO!
(Stamp feet very fast)

If you want to be a monster, now's your chance.
'Cause everybody's doing the monster dance.
You just stamp your feet, wave your arms around
Stretch 'em up, stretch 'em up,
Then put them on the ground.
'Cause you're doing the monster stomp,
(Stomp feet)
That's right! You're doing the monster stomp.
(Stomp feet)

If I were a happy monster, I'd go ha! ha! ha!
(Laugh)
If I were a sad monster, I'd go boo, hoo, hoo.
(Rub eyes)
If I were a mad monster, I'd go stomp, stomp, stomp!
(Stomp feet)
If I were a scared monster, I'd go AAHH! AAHH! AAHH!
(Scream)
But I'm just me, you see, so I'll just dance, dance, dance!
