sThis Bees theme activity pack is developmentally appropriate for preschool and pre-K children and for pre-readers, and would work well in a study of insects, or a Spring curriculum plan. Realistic and "cute" graphics are both used, depending on the focus of the activity.

Besides the activities, songs, stories and games listed for the day, this pack includes these centers and printables:
• Photos of bees, hives and honey.
- Craftivity to make to go with rhyme "Here is the Beehive".
• Printable: Match bees to flowers – one to one correspondence. Vocabulary “more” and “less”.
• Emergent reader: “The Busy Bee” Recognize and name some other insects.
• Printable: Bees are helpful in our world because they cross pollinate plants
• Printable: Each hive has a Queen Bee, and she is the only bee that can lay eggs.
• Coloring page – “We can eat honey”.
• Center: Match numbers cards to sets of bees flying around a hive 0-10.
• Bee math mats – print as many hive mats as you need, and write a number on each page. Children count sets of bees on to the mats.
• Make a “I like bees” cut and paste hat.
• Center: Match 10-frames cards to children with numbers 0-10
• Center: Match bees and flowers rhyming word pairs cards (12 pairs)
