This is a Babies theme unit for preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten - a unit from the Pre-K Theme for a Day series. This is the second in a set of 2 units about Babies.
This pack is developmentally appropriate for preschool and pre-K children, and would be especially helpful as part of a Families early childhood curriculum.

• Photos of babies with various expressions on their faces. The children can try to guess from face and body language what the baby wants or needs
• One-to-one correspondence: Match babies to balls. Estimating individual page, and center cards.
• Dot to dot teddy (Click for printable)
• Order rubber duckies in number sequence 0-20.
• What can babies do? Write a “predictable list” and read it. Begin every sentence with “Babies can….”.
• Create an emergent reader about Baby Toys
• Discuss and draw printable – “I am not a baby. I can play with THESE toys”.
• Set of large manipulative baby items graphics for vocabulary, games, and room décor.
• Center – match sets of baby items with babies numbered from 0-10.
• Design a onesie, a bib and a pair of socks for a baby to wear.

Pre-K Theme for a Day is a series of mini teaching topics that are focused towards preschool and Pre-K learners. Although the activities are written to cover one full day of activities and related games, centers and other printables, there are enough ideas to extend the theme longer if needed.
