This resource is FREE to MEMBERS on the Ducks theme page in the Member Area.
This center and printable resource includes:
• 1 1 pond mats numbered 0-10
• Page of 5 yellow ducks – print as many as you need.
• Page of 5 b/w ducks
• 1 pond with no number
• 2 activity printables. Children can draw sets/groups of ducks.
Some ways to use this resource:
• Use as a small group teaching prop.
• Print on cardstock and make a counting center. Children count ducks onto the numbered ponds. For differentiation, set out more, or less, lily pads. When the ducks do not fit onto the pond, they can be placed around it.
• Teacher or children can make stick puppets with the ducks – tape on a small craft stick for a handle.
• Sing a song about ducks, such as “5 Little Ducks Went Out One Day”.
• Use the activity printables for table work – write the number you want to feature in the text box.
• Use the pond that does not have a number on it to make mats for numbers higher than 10.
