Group game and creative activity directions: This is just one way to use these great elf pieces – be creative. This activity is for a small group of young children.
- Leave the elf bodies pages whole, and cut out the other pieces.
- Have one elf for each child, and enough other pieces to give choices with a few left over.
- Have the children sit in a circle on the floor, with the elf pages spread out in the middle.
- Introduce the elves by their names. (The elves names are Glitterpie, Gingerplum, Shinysparkles and Jinglesocks).
- Each child chooses the one they want, taking turns saying “I would like _______” by name, or “I would like this elf”.
- Then put the elf clothes in the center of the circle, and each child chooses “I would like a green and red tunic that has stripes”, “I would like black elf shoes” etc until everyone has the pieces they want.
- Encourage descriptive words, and help with different descriptive ideas.
