Halloween characters and haunted houses - Match 7 various ways that numbers can be represented, 0-10.
- The ways are: numeral ~ word ~ 10-frame ~tally marks ~ dice ~ fingers ~ sets of Halloween candy
Contents:
• 11 haunted house mats, labeled from 0-10
• 6 sets of Halloween characters, 11 in each set, each set featuring a different way that numbers can be represented, from 0-10.
Goal: Children match each of the characters to the appropriate haunted house mat. The game is flexible, and can be differentiated by offering more or less houses, and/or more or less characters.
Another way to set up the center: Cut each house out, close to the edge, and cut out a cardstock backing that is the same size as the house. Staple them together, leaving the roof area open. The matching characters can then be slid inside each house. Numbers to label each house are included.
Another activity: Each set of characters can be arranged in sequential order, either forwards, or backwards.
I have also included a b/w haunted house, for the children to color and draw their own sets of Halloween characters.
