Bear is sleeping; bear is sleeping
In the cave, in the cave.
I wonder when he'll come out. I wonder when he'll come out.
In the spring, in the spring.

Birds are flying; birds are flying
In the sky, in the sky.
I wonder when they'll come back; I wonder when they'll come back,
In the spring, in the spring.

Sung to: "Alouette"

Hibernation, time for hibernation.
Hibernation, time to go to sleep.
In the winter where's the bear?
Sleeping in its log or lair.
Where's the bear?  Log or lair.  OH!
In the winter where's the frog?
Sleeping by a pond or log.
In the winter where's the snake?
In the mud beneath the lake.
In the winter where's the bat?
In a cave is where it’s at.

Sung to: "London Bridge is Falling Down"

Big brown bear has gone to sleep,
Gone to sleep, gone to sleep,
Big brown bear has gone to sleep,
Now that winter's coming.

Little robin flies away...
Little squirrels gathering nuts...
Little rabbit changes coats...

Sung to: "If You're Happy and You Know It"
Thebear says all he wants to do is sleep,
Now that winter's here and snow is very deep.
He has curled up in his den
And we probably won't see him
Till the springtime when all he'll want to do is eat!

(Tune: Where is Thumbkin?)
Where is bear?
Where is bear?
Here I am.
Here I am.
How are you this winter?
Very tired, thank you.
Go to sleep.
Go to sleep

5 little bears sitting on the wall
5 little bears sitting on the wall
If one of the bears should happen to fall
There'd be four little bears sitting on the wall
4 little bears...

1 little bear sitting on the wall
1 little bear sitting on the wall
If this little bear should happen to fall
There'd be no more bears sitting on the wall.

Did you ever see a rabbit, a rabbit, a rabbit
Did you ever see a rabbit, that hops so slow
He hops and hops and hops and hops
Did you ever see a rabbit that hops so slow?
That hops so fast...
That hops backwards...
That hops on one foot...

Once I saw a rabbit (middle and index fingers)
And a big green cabbage head
(make fist with other hand)
I think I'll have some cabbage
The little rabbit said.

So he nibbled and he nibbled (wiggle fingers)
And he pricked up his ears to say: (fingers straight)
"Now I think it's time
I should be hopping on my way".

Grey squirrel, grey squirrel
Shake your bushy tail!
Grey squirrel, grey squirrel
Shake your bushy tail!
Wrinkle up your funny nose
Hold a nut between your toes
Grey squirrel, grey squirrel
Shake your bushy tail!

(Tune: She'll be Coming Round the Mountain)
I'll be gathering all the acorns till they're gone.
I'll be gathering all the acorns till they're gone.
'll be gathering all the acorns, gathering all the acorns,
Gathering all the acorns till they're gone.

And I'll put them all inside my cozy home.

And I'll eat the nuts until the winter's gone.

This little squirrel said, "Let's run and play".
(point to each finger)
This little squirrel said, "Let's hunt nuts today".
This little squirrel said, "Yes, nuts are good".
This little squirrel said,  "Our favorite food"!
This little squirrel said, "Come climb this tree,
And crack these nuts, one, two, three".
(clap hands)

A mouse lived in a little hole,
Lived softly in a little hole,
When all was quiet as quiet can be...
OUT POPPED HE!

I know a house, and a cold old house,
A cold old house by the sea.
If I were a mouse in that cold old house
What a cold, cold mouse I'd be!

Sung To: "Kookaburra"
Raccoon sleeps in a hollow tree
While the sun shines on you and me.
Sleep, raccoon.
Sleep, raccoon,
Warm and cozily.
In the darkest part of night
Raccoon has the best eyesight.
Look raccoon,
Look, raccoon,
My, your eyes are bright.
Raccoon hardly makes a sound
When he prowls all around.
Hunt raccoon,
Hunt raccoon,
Find food on the ground.

I saw a little creature that was slimy, smooth, and wet.
I thought it was the oddest thing that I had ever met.
It was something like a lizard, but it had no scales at all.
It was something like a frog, but it didn't hop- it crawled.
So I took it to my teacher and she told me right away,
" I see you brought a salamander into class today."

There was a little turtle
And he lived in a box
He swam in a puddle,
And he climbed on the rocks.
He snapped at a mosquito
He snapped at a flea,
He snapped at a minnow, And he snapped at me.
He caught the mosquito, (clap)
He caught the flea, (clap)
He caught the minnow, (clap)
But he didn't catch me!!

Two old turtles,
Going for a walk,
(Hold out two fists with thumbs sticking out)
"Good morning", said one,
"Shall we have a little talk?"
(wiggle one thumb)

"Yes," said the other,
"I do enjoy a chat"
(wiggle other thumb)
So they walked along together
With a natter, natter, nat !

“Glub glub" went the little green frog one day.
"Glub glub" went the little green frog.
"Glub glub" went the little green frog one day.
And his tongue went "slurp slurp slurp!"
BUT
We all know frogs go
Lah dah dee dah dee dah (hands sway from side to side, palms forward)
Lah dah dee dah dee dah
Lah dah dee dah dee dah
We all know frogs go LAH dah dee dah dee dah
They don't go slurp slurp slurp

Five little speckled frogs,
Sat on a speckled log,
Eating the most delicious bug.
Yum, Yum.
One jumped into the pool,
Where it was nice and cool,
Then there were four green speckled frogs. Glub, glub! (Sing down to 0)

Sung to: "I'm a Little Teapot"

I'm a little frog,
Slick and green.
I once was a tadpole,
As you have seen.
Then I grew some strong legs
While swimming about,
And now I'm a frog.
Hurray, let's shout!
"Ribbit!"

Tadpole, tadpole
Swimming in my pail
Big round head
And wiggly tail.
Some day soon
Four legs will sprout
And then, small frog,
You'll hop right out!
